Designing my Blog

OK... So I have been playing around with all the different design available for my Blog .But, until I don't do my own design I won't be content! Soooooooo I guess I better start working on it..good bye.

About me

Ok, so here is about me. Where do I start? I guess I should start with my name. My name is Marisela Rodriguez. Well that was pretty easy, let’s see…I‘m a self -taught artist currently living in Savannah Ga. I have been married 32 years or is it 33-34? Well, whatever it is I have been married for a very long time. I’m a mom of three adult children; I have 6 grandkids, a dog and a cat. As a young girl I loved coloring, playing with paper dolls, and shopping for textile with my mom. As a teen I added flea markets and antique store shopping to my repertoire. Later in life I began playing with scrapbooking, ATCs, stamping, and mixed media. For many years I aspired to try acrylic painting but felt intimidated. I owned my own craft store a few years ago, offering classes using various media. Those were the best years…crafting everyday! Recently I took the plunge and began playing with acrylic paint and found my new love. Mixed media and acrylic paint - Now I’m fulfilled! My studio is my garage, I couldn’t find room anywhere in the house that can occupy all my stuff. Though I don’t necessarily do my work there…I’m all over the house. My Goal is to have my own etsy shop and sell my artwork. Who knows, maybe become an illustrator…high expectations you might say. But I believe there is endless possibility. I’m still setting shop so I am not ready for selling yet but wanted to share with you some of my work, classes I’m taking, blogs I follow and any goodies I might find along the way. Hope you like!
