Savannah's Garden

As much as I would like to paint everyday is getting more difficult. I know better times will come, I just wish it would get here sooner. But, with the limited time I had I did manage to take another class with Moni from Hands and Heart. This painting was Inspired by her class The Perfume of Life and the beautiful garden's of Savannah. As always I really enjoyed her class .

Hi guys, I have been away for a while due to work and spending my free time taking care of my 89 yr old mom who broke her ankle.  I have signed up for a few great classes but have not been able to commit to starting one. Free Spirit Mixed Media Workshop with Monica Zunica

Well i just completed my Free yes FREE class with Monica from Hands and Heart.  I loved the class I learned a few new techniques... she encourages to push yourself , not to be afraid .  When I started my painting I really did not like what I was seeing... all these colors one on top of the other , I had no idea what was going to come out. But I kept hearing Monica saying don't be afraid and I let go and I was happy with the background. Then it was the the face and shading...so many layers...I can't do this I kept saying to myself again...but there was Monica voice again saying DON'T BE AFRAID.  I finally let go and I am very happy with the outcome. The painting is unique to me. I usually do that when I take a class....I learn techniques and apply it to what ever is in my head at that point. Anyway I am taking another of her class...I have a link to her site so check it out. OH ...here my completed mixed media painting.

It has been very hard to paint when I have to be a caregiver and not living at my home. I really wanted to have this blog running sooner and be able to post daily but due to a family member's health and me being the caregiver it has been very difficult. But I have managed to sneak a few minutes  and here is my latest mixed media painting in progress..

Great Blogs!

Hey guys , I have found some Great Blogs...make sure you check them out...some even have free classes . I am currently taking a free class with Monica Zúñiga from Hands and Heart .  The class is call Free Spirit, I am really enjoying it ...I should have my version completed soon and will post as soon as it is done.   I should warn you the problem with finding these Great Blogs is that you will want to take all the classes, by what they are using, read all there post, see who they follow then follow who they follow and hours pass by and you haven't been able to complete your art work because you are following.

Finally!!!

I am embarrassed to say  that I have been trying to figure out how to add a button to my blog for about three weeks now... and finally today I figured it out( it was how I originally thought it was done)...and it was so easy...this happens to me allot...I think things are going to be more complicated that what they are...so I don't go with my first choice. I definitely need to work on that.

What a nightmare !!!

I have been going crazy for days trying to figure out why my post was not appearing on my blog. I went to the help section..I have been goggling for help...I have been asking others that have a blog , but nothing was fixing my problem.  Finally a light bulb! I had my text in  black with a black background...LOL.

Learning Experience.

Well, setting up this blog has been a real learning experience. I still have a lot of changes to make but meanwhile I will try to keep you updated.  So, this is what I have been up to;

Setting up my art portfolio, searching for a high quality scanner and printer so I can have my prints done, setting up my Etsy store, working on my Bio… Ok, I am getting overwhelmed already!  Like usually, I am working on a few things at the same time. Anyway, hopefully sooner than later everything should be up and running

Designing my Blog

OK... So I have been playing around with all the different design available for my Blog  .But, until I don't do my own design I won't be content!  Soooooooo I guess I better start working on it..good bye.
